Linda and Trevor Lake and Steve and val Carpenter went down to a village near Guildford recently to see a performance of the Life of Christ in fantastic woodland surroundings. This is a performance that is put on every now and again and involves over 100 performers plus camels, sheep, donkeys and horses. It lasts all day and is broken into bite sized sections depicting key moments in the life and death of Jesus.
We were lucky in that the weather was superb and the performance was breathtaking. Steve and Val had not been before and were amazed at the quality and detail of the production.
The Last Supper and the Crucifixion were particularly poignant and at the moment of Christ's death, the sun actually disappeared behind a cloud!
We are hoping to arrange a Church trip to next years performance if people are interested.
