As you know we had to fix a tarpaulin over the South Aisle roof just before Christmas and this cost over £1400. Money which we would much rather have spent on a new roof. Bids for a grant for the new roof will be submitted in February so we need some hard praying that we are successful this time around. So far the tarpaulin is holding firm despite some of the fiercest winds for some time. It is however very much a temporary measure.

What the tarpaulin did do was ensure that the Christmas tree festival and concert were able to take place in the dry. Those events were very successful and brought some much needed income into the roof fund.

Many thanks to all those who made the events around Christmas so successful.
