The saga of the roof goes on. As you know, before we were awarded the grant to replace the South aisle roof, we had to pay for a tarpaulin to be placed over it to stop the rain pouring in.

That was a year ago and we had hoped to have replaced the roof by now. That has not been possible for a number of reasons and, as predicted by the roofers, the tarpaulin is starting to break up and the water was pouring in again.

Last week, Trevor and Linda Lake together with Ken Rutland spent Saturday on the roof replacing much of the worn out material with some excellent PVC which the tennis club made available to us. There is still an area to be covered and this will be bought and installed shortly so we should have a dry Church until the roof replacement next Spring.
