Our House Group continues to meet on Monday evenings and it is now nearly 2 years since we started. Membership has fluctuated as expected with work commitments etc. but we have had a steady 6-8 people not all of whom are regular worshippers with us. We have recently had 2 newcomers who are contributing to the group and we are always looking for new ideas and approaches. The recent film night and the visit from John Morley are just two of the events initiated from the House Group and aimed at involving more people in and making them aware of what the Church is doing.
Our usual meetings are held at one of our member houses and starts with the essential cake and tea. This is accompanied by lively discussion about what has been happening in the village and elsewhere and what we have been up to as individuals.
There is usually an introductory prayer followed by a Bible study or faith based discussion led by one of the group and we finish with a prayer at 9.00.
If you think you might be interested in this sort of thing please come to one of the meetings. I can assure you that there will be a warm welcome and, if you are not comfortable with it there is no compulsion to attend every week or again. There is no charge and I am sure that everyone who has attended the Group would say that they have learned a great deal from the study and discussions we have had.
